As far as I know, there is no way to donate for the development
of the foodsoft per se.
On Github I have seen that the Foodsoft is already much further programmed. Unfortunately it is not yet implemented in our version. Can you say when you will do that?
Yes, that is correct: The global hosting platform is using the latest foodsoft release
, which is v4.6.0. Someone needs to release a new version before we can migrate. I have no idea when this will happen. See also foodsoft issue #725 on github
Then we would like to order from another dealer (Rapunzel) . There we would also like to have a comfortable possibility to import products from their merchandise management system like at our wholesaler Terra. What does it need for it? We can arrange it.
The automatic article synchronization is based on an external tool called sharedlists
. We can easily add new suppliers that offer their article list in a supported format
via FTP. If that is not the case then other options can be considered.
What is your further plan with the software, do you need programming help, other support, something completely different?
I do not plan to contribute to foodsoft development for the foreseeable future. Obviously, there is a lot that could be done in terms of foodsoft development and maintenance (new release). I think it would be great if you contributed in that direction. Let's hope that you get some useful hints by those people who have a better overview than I have.
