Hi,
after a discussion here [1] we now have two mailing lists. # The Announce List We can send announcements like appeals for donations or server downtimes to the following address: [hidden email] All people that mailed to [hidden email] are subscribed to this list. If anyone wants to subscribe this is possible via sending email to <[hidden email]> or by filling the following form: https://systemausfall.org/admin/list-subscribe?list_address=foodcoops-announce@... The list is moderated. If you want to become a moderator and remote admin please send an email to the support list (see below). A test email is enclosed below. # The Support List Users may send questions to the following address: [hidden email] We can redirect mails from [hidden email] to that address. On answering we should always put the list address in CC, so that everyone can follow the discussion. And be sure to answer the list *and* the user. If anyone wants to subscribe this is possible via sending email to <[hidden email]> or by filling the following form: https://systemausfall.org/admin/list-subscribe?list_address=foodcoops-support@... The list is open for public submission. If you want to become a remote admin please send an email to the list. I hope this will be a good communication infrastructure for users. We might want to fine-tune some settings, let's discuss that on demand. Regards, Robert [1] https://github.com/foodcoops/foodcoops.net/issues/11 # Test email to announce list looked like this ---------------- BEGIN TEST To: [hidden email] Subject: [foodcoops.net] Test Announcement Test Announcement -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] ---------------- END TEST |

I subscribed and want to get a moderator.
I did not find any web interface for the list to view the archive. Is there one? If not: IMHO this is deal breaker. |

I'll let you know if that works out. > I did not find any web interface for the list to view the archive. Is > there one? If not: IMHO this is deal breaker. Would be necessary, I agree. We can always add a nabble address and keep an archive there (though we might just as well host the lists there - for support that's not an option because each sender needs a unique email address). - Willem |

If not: IMHO this is deal breaker. I activated the archive for the announce list. It should be availabe via mail. AFAIK there is no web interface for the archive. Sorry, if I missed something in the discussion of #11. https://github.com/foodcoops/foodcoops.net/issues/11 Regards, Robert |

There might be people who don't like to give their address to commercial services like nabble. Regards, Robert |

IMHO we should find an other provider in that case. > On 12 Oct 2017, at 08:54, Robert [via foodsoft] <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > Would be necessary, I agree. I personally would prefer to have only one provider, but see the “non-comercial service” as a valid point. E.g. riseup.net provides hosted Sympa. —- Patrick |
