This is a draft for a first mail to the users as discussed in our last call. Please share your thoughts with me.
(I suggest to translate the email to german when we're fine with its content.) ----- Dear food cooperative, you've applied some months ago to transition to a new Foodsoft platform by sending an email to transition@foodcoops.nl, because the existing platform which is available via https://app.foodcoops.net will close. Who are we? We are a group of people that set up and maintain the new infrastructure of various food co-ops from Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. What is done? We've prepared over the last months a new infrastructure and software to run the Foodsoft in a new environment. We are focussing on a Foodsoft migration in December this year depending on the schedule of the current hoster. What does it cost? We have fixed costs for the rented infrastructure of X Euro per month. The monthly costs for the infrastructure would be around 1 Euro per cooperative. To manage all the financial aspects of this engagement we are working together with Sense.Lab e.V., which is a non-profit association aiming at cooperation, tolerance, cosmopolitanism and ecological sustainability. We expect donations at a level that you think is appropriate for this service. If you donate it is important that you add the keywords "foodcoops.net" and your food co-op name in the Foodsoft e.g. foodcoops.net schalottchen, foodsoft.net tanteaute etc. You'll find the account details on https://senselab.org/content/spenden. Improving documentation We are searching for volunteers who help us improving the current Foodsoft documentation. The aim is to reduce non-technical questions while using the software e.g. how to create an order, how to add a new member etc. How about support? We want to provide technical support for each cooperatives on the new platform, but we need your help. We want users of the new platform to join the mailing list at http://foodsoft.51229.x6.nabble.com and support each other on non-technical topics, so we can focus on the technical stuff. We're planing to create sub forums for german only speaking people. Do you want to join the technical support team? Please send an email to: a@b.c You need technical support? Get in contact with us via: a@b.c In case you're not interested anymore to join the new platform, please send an email to transition@foodcoops.nl with the subject "cancel transition" and your Foodsoft co-op name. We're looking forward to create with you a sustainable infrastructure for food cooperatives. Willem, Patrick, Julius, André (Whom have I missed?) |

Improving documentationIt can be useful to include a next step, like: send a mail to the mailing list xxx, or we can create an alias for volunteers or whatever. How about support?Let's point them to the link of the applicable mailing-list. Would that be http://foodsoft.51229.x6.nabble.com/foodsoft-announce-f4.html or one specifically for foodcoops.net users? Do you want to join the technical support team? Get in contact with us via: [hidden email]Maybe: For questions on how to Foodsoft, post to the mailing list <>. If something is not working well, or you have a question about the hosting at foodcoops.net, please contact. In case you're not interested anymore to join the new platform, please send an email to [hidden email] with the subject "cancel transition" and your Foodsoft co-op name.:+1: We're looking forward to create with you a sustainable infrastructure for food cooperatives. |

Can someone provide me the technical support email address (maybe via email because nabble anonymizes them to "hidden email"). And how to get in contact with us to join the team?

@before I've sent them you to personally.
We need a temporary support email address, until we have received foodcoops.net. Shall we use the systemausfall list address directly, or can we use a forward or something like [hidden email], or shall I forward [hidden email] to the support mailing list? - Willem |

If I did not miss a big issue I vote for a direct use of [hidden email] as a temporary solution. As soon as foodcoops.net is transferred we can design the ideal setup. |
